Performance Parameters and Main Applications of RF Passive Components

After decades of rapid development, wireless communication has become an indispensable means of communication in people's lives. In recent years, with the construction of cities, the rapid increase of users and the diversification of services, the traditional wide-area coverage model can no longer meet the needs of users. The proliferation of reinforced concrete buildings in urban construction has severely hindered the propagation of wireless signals. Underground construction spaces such as subways, underground passages and underground parking lots are also blind areas for wireless coverage. The problem of indoor coverage is solved by building a large number of base stations and indoor distribution of signals, so as to provide seamless coverage and provide users with efficient and sustainable wireless network services without blind spots.

1. The main application of RF passive components

RF passive components are mainly used in the construction of wireless communication system base stations and indoor distribution systems. Especially in the indoor distribution coverage of wireless signals in buildings, there are a wide variety of applications and a huge number of them.

RF passive components play a role in connecting or distributing radio frequency signals in base station construction and indoor distribution projects. The indoor distribution system connects or splits the signal emitted by the base station through the RF passive components, and distributes it to the antennas of each coverage point via the feeder, so as to achieve continuous and good coverage of the indoor wireless signal.

Passive attenuators can (1) adjust the size of the signal in the circuit; (2) be used to directly read the attenuation value of the measured network in the comparison measurement circuit; (3) improve impedance matching. If some circuits require a relatively stable load impedance, an attenuator can be inserted between the circuit and the actual load impedance to buffer the change of impedance.

The indoor distribution system mainly includes two parts: the signal source and the antenna-feeder distribution system. Passive components are the main components of the antenna feed system. HBTE passive component testing can be used to test the characteristics of your RF passive components.

2. Performance parameters of RF passive components

The performance parameters of RF passive components mainly include working frequency band, insertion loss, input and output standing waves, port isolation, in-band fluctuation, out-of-band suppression, intermodulation products, and power capacity. According to the current network conditions and testing conditions, passive components are a key factor affecting the current network.
