Passive Attenuator

HBTE passive attenuators include continuous variable attenuators, step attenuators, and fixed attenuators. We supply RF attenuator impedance specifications are 50 ohms and 75 ohms. There are 2.92mm, N, and SMA connectors of these series of passive Attenuators. The RF dB attenuation of attenuators ranges from 0 dB to 99 dB. Our passively Attenuators range in frequency from DC to 40 GHz. The product range includes low-power to high-power attenuators with power processing ranges from 1 watt to 500 watts.

FAQs of HBTE Passive Attenuators

What is the main function of fixed attenuator

(1) Adjust the size of the signal in the circuit;


(2) In the comparison measurement circuit, the attenuation value of the network under test can be read directly;


(3) If some circuits require a relatively stable load impedance, an attenuator can be inserted between the circuit and the actual load impedance to buffer the change of impedance.


If I exceed the maximum input level, will I burn out the fixed attenuator?

This is not recommended as it may cause data distortion or burn down attenuators.

All of HBTE fixed attenuators are tested and specified at 50Ω impedance, can I use them at 75Ω?

It is not recommended. If you need key specifications for the 75 Ω system, please contact our salesman. Our engineers will redesign the internal components for you to meet specific requirements.
